Born 4/21/20 “Irish” is a bay roan mare with a star, both rear pasterns higher in the back and a front right coronet with a peak in the front. We have chosen two themes this year to name our foals, one is using names of Texas cities or towns and the other to continue with western names for only our Whoop foals. For our foals who aren’t by our stallions, we chose pedigree names.
This one is a bit special because her mother was our very first Paddys Irish Whiskey daughter. We acquired her from Wylie Gustafson of Cross 3 Quarter Horses. We have always owned several Paddys Irish Whiskey sons and her dam, Magnolia Whiskey, is one of three daughters we now own. Magnolia Whiskey aka Rio is a point and money earner by Paddys Irish Whiskey. Rio’s dam was never shown herself, but she is a producing daughter of High Brow Hickory out of a Doc Quixote daughter. Rio has earned 14 AQHA pts. in heading and heeling. She qualified her 1st year of roping for the 2018 AQHA World Finals in JR Heeling where she placed in the Top Fifteen. She is a stout built mare with the athletic ability to really shine. We have also shown her in reined cow horse a bit where she placed 1st in the North Central RCHA 5 YO open class earning her $60 but heeling seemed to be her “thing”! Rio stayed sound and showed us her ability, so we decided it was time for her to have a baby for us.
Bet Hesa Cat is a 2006 Red Roan Stallion earner of $267,465 and a NCHA Open World Champion! He is the only World Champion Stallion at age 5 in history, only World Champion Stallion by High Brow Cat and the only World Champion Stallion whose dam is also a World Champion! BET HESA CAT is the ONLY stallion that crosses the #1 all-time leading cutting sire High Brow Cat on NCHA World Champion, two-time NCHA Finals Champion and NCHA Hall of Fame member BET YER BLUE BOONS, earners of $350,000 and producer of foals earning nearly $500,000. He is An NCHA & NRCHA Leading Sire and a NRCHA Million Dollar Sire!
Irish is a very nice-looking filly. She has the pedigree and is built right to be someone’s next futurity prospect, performance, or breeding prospect. We are extremely excited for this baby! We currently have (2) 2018 Bet Hesa Cat daughters and are pleased how they are maturing with one of them already in cowhorse training. We will be retaining Irish as well.
She is eligible for the NCHA Super Stakes, Breeders Invitational, PCCHA Stakes, NRCHA Stakes, Abilene Spectacular, Bonanza Cutting, Ruby Buckle and Future Fortunes.
