Magnolia Whiskey aka Rio is a beautiful bay mare by Paddys Irish Whiskey. We acquired her from Wylie Gustafson of Cross 3 Quarter Horses. We have always owned several Paddys Irish Whiskey sons and Rio is one of three daughters we now own.

Paddys Irish Whiskey is a NCHA Money Earner and Multiple Major Aged Event Finalist. Foals have earned $1,702,161 & 5,424 AQHA points, 36 AQHA World/Reserve World Championships including 2-time AQHA World Champion Versatility Ranch Horse Smart Whiskey Doc. As a broodmare sire, foals have produced earners of more than $2,900,000. The Q-Data All-Time Leading Ranch Riding Sire. He is listed on a Leading Sire list each year since he was purchased by Paddys Irish Whiskey Syndicate. As per the 6666’s website, Paddys Irish Whiskey has a proven record of siring both class and high-end trainability with champions in versatility ranch horse, reined cow horse, cutting, reining, calf roping, and team roping. His daughters have produced more than $2,900,000 including an NRHA Open Futurity Champion and multiple AQHA and NRCHA World Champions.

Rio’s dam was never shown herself, but she is a producing daughter of High Brow Hickory out of a Doc Quixote daughter.  

Rio has earned 14 AQHA pts. in heading and heeling. She qualified her 1st year of roping for the 2018 AQHA World Finals in JR Heeling where she placed in the Top Fifteen. She is a stout built mare with the athletic ability to really shine. We have also shown her in reined cow horse some where she placed 1st in the North Central RCHA 5 YO open class earning her $60 but heeling seemed to be her “thing”! Rio stayed sound and showed us her ability, so we decided it was time for her to have a baby for us. She had a bay roan filly by Bet Hesa Cat, Irish Whiskey Bet. We are very excited for this foal with intentions for it to be a keeper for ourselves. We exposed Rio to Jacks Our Bartender for a 2021 foal and she had a bay filly Maggie Bartender JW. She had a red roan filly, Coral Bartender JW for 2022 and was exposed back to Jack for this year adding another full sibling to the roster, Citrine Bartender JW.
