2025 Bay Stallion
Return to Previous Page

Once again we find ourselves WITHOUT any interns heading into this fall to assist with halter breaking our 2025 foals. We started last March with hiring 5 interns for May-Aug and May-Dec and for various reasons they are no longer here. Our daughter is expecting baby #3 in November and will only be able to assist for a little longer and will stay on maternity leave until spring 2026. We have too many great stud colts and fillies that express roan, cream, dun and gray to let them stand around all fall and winter. Without assistance to halter break we will be discounting their prices (15 colts and 5 fillies) to get them moved on to new homes. We are super proud of our 2025 foals and very proud of many of our stallions. This pricing will have them vaccinated, boostered, dewormed, handled 2 times (maybe more), weaned and eating well for 2 weeks before travel. Our standard 10% discount for multiple or repeat buyers will still stand. We reserve the right to leave some 2025 foals at their original prices. Those not listed below are being retained by us as of now. We will talk personally, with those of you who have already placed a down payment on your foals and come to an agreement with each of you to make this fair to you our loyal customers. Jacks Our Bartender has been declining and we will soon be preg checking his mares that pastured with him this summer. Could be that these 2025s are his last offspring. His bloodline will remain in our program through his daughters and a 2024 stallion prospect we have retained. We have color testing results on most of these foals.

Born 7-5-25. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we have chosen movie themes for our different stallions. Top Gun Whiskey foals will be named after the Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie.  Next year we will do similar call signs from the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit themed names. This stallion is named Valar (Vay-lar). The Valar are the high holy beings in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. They assisted Eru in shaping the World after its creation. The Valar include the King Manwë and the Queen Varda Elentári.

‘Valar’ is a bay stallion with both white rear pasterns, star, thin strip and a large snip. His dam is HQ Jacked Up Lights aka Charlotte. We were specifically shopping for young replacement fillies with the Two Eyed Jack/Pitzer bloodlines to pair up with any of our Paddys Irish Whiskey sons as some of our older mares with those lines have already niched very well with our Paddys stallions.  She was the second foal crop from her now deceased sire, CD Cyna Dee, owned by Hockenson Quarter Horses in Iowa This stallion they called “Lights” made a name for himself in the cowhorse world in his short life. CD Cyna Dee was an AQHA point earner in 10 events including, working cowhorse, tie-down roping, heeling, heading, reining, ranch riding, cutting, performance halter, poles and barrels. He had an LTE of $26,569 in NRCHA, NRHA and ARHFA. He was a 22X AQHA World Show Qualifier and placed 12th in the 2017 AQHA World Finals in Junior Heading. He earned his AQHA Open Superior in 2017 as well.  He was also the 2017 SDRCHA Jr. Cowhorse of the year.  As of 2023 his offspring won over $88K and he has produced 2 AQHA Reserve World Champions. Unfortunately Lights passed way too soon, but his offspring continues to make a name for him. Charlotte’s dam is a Pitzer bred mare. We purchased her full 2017 sister HQ CD Boogi Lights before Charlotte whom we are still ranching on and started mounted shooting with her in 2023.  We love the idea of having 2 full sisters in our program from this dam and sire! Charlotte’s first foal, Whiskey Up Salmon JW, is a beautiful bay filly that sold and stayed in ND. Her 2024 bay filly, Whiskey Up Sedna JW, unfortunately is deceased.

His sire is Whoop Up Whiskey. ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. This is his 12th foal crop. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile.  A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW sons is the dam pedigree. Whoop’s dam goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are breaking out really kind and level headed.

Valar should be a nice all around prospect with a lot of style. He will be able to excel in the arena or on the ranch as well. We are seeing a lot of that style and grace in these Whoop babies.  He is a Whoop son so has a 50/50 chance of being a GBED carrier. Check info below.
