Once again we find ourselves WITHOUT any interns heading into this fall to assist with halter breaking our 2025 foals. We started last March with hiring 5 interns for May-Aug and May-Dec and for various reasons they are no longer here. Our daughter is expecting baby #3 in November and will only be able to assist for a little longer and will stay on maternity leave until spring 2026. We have too many great stud colts and fillies that express roan, cream, dun and gray to let them stand around all fall and winter. Without assistance to halter break we will be discounting their prices (15 colts and 5 fillies) to get them moved on to new homes. We are super proud of our 2025 foals and very proud of many of our stallions. This pricing will have them vaccinated, boostered, dewormed, handled 2 times (maybe more), weaned and eating well for 2 weeks before travel. Our standard 10% discount for multiple or repeat buyers will still stand. We reserve the right to leave some 2025 foals at their original prices. Those not listed below are being retained by us as of now. We will talk personally, with those of you who have already placed a down payment on your foals and come to an agreement with each of you to make this fair to you our loyal customers. Jacks Our Bartender has been declining and we will soon be preg checking his mares that pastured with him this summer. Could be that these 2025s are his last offspring. His bloodline will remain in our program through his daughters and a 2024 stallion prospect we have retained. We have color testing results on most of these foals.
Born 5-17-25 Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we have chosen movie themes for our different stallions. Top Gun Whiskey foals will be named after the Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie. Next year we will do similar call signs from the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit themed names. This filly is named Arwen. Arwen was the youngest child of Elrond, lord of the Elvish sanctuary of Rivendell and leader of the High Elves remaining in Middle-earth at the end of the Third Age, and Celebrían, daughter of Galadriel, ruler of the Elvish forest realm of Lothlórien. Her elder brothers were the twins Elladan and Elrohir. Her name "Ar-wen" means 'noble maiden' in Sindarin
‘Arwen’ is a solid buckskin filly. Her dam is Ms Boon Jess., which we raised from a mare we used to own, Boon Fever. Boon Fever is an actual daughter of Boon San out of a Playboys Buck Fever daughter and we love that Shot O Gin who is a full brother to Tanquery Gin down there on the bottom representing solid 6666’s breeding. Jessie’s sire is Jesses Topaz a 2011 buckskin stallion sired by AQHA Racing Champion Mr Jess Perry SI 113 owned by the 6666s. Jessie was the 3rd pairing from this cross. We also kept back her older full sister, Ms Boon Topaz. We are excited to have these pair of sisters in our program. Both were kept with the intention of becoming broodmares for us. So far Jessie is off to a good start in this journey. Her 2023 foal, Whiskey Up Marble JW, was a fancy buckskin filly that went with a repeat buyer in IL. 2024 foal, Whiskey Up Earth JW, sold to MN.
Her sire is Whoop Up Whiskey . ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. This is his 12th foal crop. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile. A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW sons is the dam pedigree. Whoop’s dam goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are breaking out really kind and level headed.
Arwen should be a nice all-around prospect with a lot of style. Her dam, Jessie, has a stretchier look to her and that indicates that she has some speed. Full siblings to Arwen have sold to barrel racing homes. Arwen will be able to excel in the arena or on the ranch as well. We are seeing a lot of that style and grace in these Whoop babies. She will be for sale. Whoop is her daddy and is a GBED carrier so 50/50 with this girl. Check her genetic test results below as we get them.
