Born 4-27-19.  ‘Power’ is a bay stallion with a larger snip and a left rear ankle. We named Power after a pedigree name. Top Gun Whiskey has Bueno Chex on his very bottom side twice off his papers through Misty Oaks. Bueno Chex was a grandson of Power Command (a son of King). TDM Smart Bronsin has Fritz Command twice off her papers on her top side through Tammy Tyler Moore. Fritz Command is also a grandson of Power Command (a son of King).  So Power traces back to Power Command two different times several generations back on both top and bottom.  Hoping this colt gets the chance to show his POWER!

Power’s dam, TDM Smart Bronsin aka Smarty, was purchased from Swenson Martin Quarter Horse and Cattle Company as a yearling. Smarty is one of her sire’s first foals and comes from a North Dakota ranch that raises and uses geldings who sell later on as top notch ranch horses at various regional sales including the Ken McNab sale in Wyoming. Smarty’s sire, Docz Coy Bandit, goes back to names that speak for themselves such as Smart Little Lena, Fritz Command and Doc Bar. What caught our eye the most was Smarty’s bottom side. Her dam goes back to PC Bronsin owned by Crago Performance Horses in Belle Fourche SD. PC Bronsin is a son of Sun Frost and he himself is very impressive and leaves behind a remarkable entourage. He won the All-Around title at the World Foundation Quarter Horse World Show at the age of 15. Placing or winning in nearly every event really showed his versatility and style. Smarty’s first foal, 2018 bay roan filly Whiskey Up France JW by Whoop Up Whiskey is now in Montana with a repeat buyer.

Smarty is a stout mare with the right size and performance pedigree to give to Top Gun Whiskey by Paddys Irish Whiskey for his first foal crop. Top Gun Whiskey is one of four Paddys Irish Whiskey sons that we have owned. We decided to give Top Gun a shot at the show ring before breeding him. In 2016 he qualified for the AQHA World Show in Jr Reining, Jr Reining Level 2 and Jr Cowhorse Level 2; in 2017 he qualified for the AQHA World Show in Jr Cowhorse, Jr Cowhorse Level 2 and Open Heading Level 2 placing 6th.  It has been an interesting ride as he continued to show during the 2018 year as well as breed some of our mares for 2019 foals. Top Gun qualified for the 2018 World NRCHA show, was 2018 North Central Regional NRCHA Champion and has earned 46 AQHA performance points in reining, working cow horse, heading, heeling, vrh cutting, vrh reining and vrh versatility and has his AQHA Open Performance ROM.  He has continued to show in reined cowhorse in 2019 and add to his points. Check out his stallion page with us for the most up to date information as we will change it as it happens.

Power should be a nice all-around prospect with a lot of style and stoutness. We are excited to see how he matures out. He should have plenty of athletic ability with a great personality to be pointed in any direction. We are very high on this colt as one of two we are offering this first year!!! We think he will size up in that 14-3 to 15 hand range.
