Born 7-12-19. ‘Saleen’ is a dark bay filly with a small star, left front pastern and left rear ankle. We have chosen two movie themes this year to name our foals.  One movie is Mulan and in coordination with the remake of Aladdin coming to theaters soon, the other is Aladdin characters. Saleen is a water elemental, specifically a siren, who schemes to have Aladdin to herself for no reason other than to win him. This is featured in the Aladdin TV Series.

Saleen’s dam is Peponita Laceyed JW aka Geico who is 92% foundation bred registered with NFQHA. We raised Geico out of our great late mare, BP Princess Lace. Her sire was Mr Salty Peponita.  Geico has a very sweet personality and a feminine look to her. She has an awesome hip and is bred with a load of cow and an old fashioned foundation pedigree. Her Two Eyed Jack/Peponita breeding only speaks for themselves. Geico’s 2014 foal by our senior stallion JK Jay Reed is being used for our breeding program, Angel Lace Reed JW. 2018 foal Whiskey Up Norway JW has also been retained for our program.

This is Geico’s second foal by Whoop Up Whiskey. ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile.  A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW son, TRR Paddys Texas Gin, is the dam pedigree. While both dams go back to Doc O Lena, Whoop’s goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as compared to TRR Paddys Texas Gin. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level. Whoop’s foals are all breaking out well and kind.

Saleen is currently priced at side with her dam if the mare sells.  Please inquire with us if you are interested in her in case she is not sold with her dam later this fall.

“Don’t miss a chance to COWBOY UP with a WHISKEY UP foal!”
