Thanks Matt!

Born 5/11/19 ‘Sahara’ is a buckskin stallion with a few forehead hairs, partial pastern on the just the back of his left front foot and a partial pastern all around his left rear. We have chosen two movie themes this year to name our foals, one is Aladdin and the other is Mulan. In coordination with the remake of Aladdin coming to theaters soon, we decided to name him Sahara who is Jasmine’s noble steed.

Hula has excellent conformation and we are pleased with her as our first Walter O Rielly daughter that we have retained.  She IS a Smoky Black and as a broodmare in our program she can produce buckskins, palominos or perhaps other smoky blacks.  She was started under saddle and showed us that she is trainable.  She is friendly and catchable about anywhere. Hula’s sire, Radar, is 90.234% NFQHA bred perlino stallion that goes to King P-234 ten times, to Driftwood four times with strong doses of Joe Reed, Three Bars and a little Doc Bar. This is our very first mare we have kept for ourselves from him to cross back on our Paddys Irish Whiskey stallions. We are extremely excited to see what Hula continues to do for our program. Hula is out of a past mare, Little Sapa. Take a good look at the speed pedigree on Hula’s bottom side. According to Circle Dot Horses, Mia Cash Too was a gentle, AAA Stakes Place Winner with a nice disposition who ran the 3rd fastest qualifying time in the All-American Derby. Mia Cash Too sired foals that went on to be racehorses, barrel horses, arena horses and also had plenty of cow.  Little Sapa leaves Dash For Cash on Hula’s papers and also give her Three Bars and Jet Deck through both Easy Jet and Jet Smooth. This is her second foal. Her 2017 Paddys Gin Rafiki JW went to be in KY and we were very pleased!

This is Tex’s eleventh foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them.  The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger.

Sahara should have a nice disposition, giving every indication that he is willing to be a friend as his name implies, plus speed and cow combination. He should be able to be an all-around performance horse, but barrel racers need to take notice of the speed he adds on his bottom side.
