Born 4/28/18. Bermuda is a sorrel stallion. We can't see any white markings as of right now, but will update as he sheds. We cannot express how excited we are for this stud colt to join us here on the ranch! His mama, Charjody, is a gorgeous 84% NFQHA double bred Two Eyed Jack mare with him still on her papers. She also goes back to Babe Cody by Bill Cody. We have already retained her 2008 daughter, Peponita Stareyed JW aka Bubbles, for our program. Bubbles is one of the ranch’s main saddle horses who also produced her first foal in 2015. Bubbles has such an awesome disposition and a lot of cow to her. In between 2008 and 2015 Charjody has produced some fantastic foals with whatever stallion we put her with and we have one buyer who has 4 of her offspring. Charjody’s other foals for us have been 2010, Charmander Reed JW, 2011, Charizard Reed JW, and 2014 Char B Reed JW; all full brothers and 2012 maternal sister, Paddys Gin Tookie JW, who are all four in North Carolina with the same buyer. Charjody’s 2013 stud colt, Paddys Gin Jig JW, is in Utah as an all-around ranch horse prospect and now a sire himself. Her 2015 filly, Cider Drift JW, is in Arizona and 2016 stud colt, Whiskey Up Boss JW, is in Virginia. Her 2017 stud colt is in Whiskey Up Zazu JW.
This is Charjody’s first foal with Jacks Our Bartender a new stallion for us. Jacks Our Bartender is a son of Bartenders Memory by Two ID Bartender and out of a granddaughter of Two Eyed Jack, Watch Miss Jo Jackie, born in 2003. Unfortunately, due to a stifle injury from being kicked by a mare, Jack was not able to stay sound enough to enter the show ring, but was able to prove his athletic ability. Since then several of his colts have ended up in the roping arena and continue to prove their athleticism and great minds. By 2015 Hockenson’s realized that he was producing some really great roping horses and decided to see if they could keep his stifle sound enough to show and sure enough in a very short time he quickly earned 5.5 AQHA Heading Points of his own proving that his offspring accomplishments were not by chance. He is a great horse to be around and out produces himself every time. Jack has 3 AQHA performing offspring. Many of his other foals have gone on to be great rodeo horses or rope horses competing and earning money in different associations.
We are excited about this pairing and can’t wait to see how Bermuda matures and develops. With both Jack’s and Charjody's proven offspring, Bermuda should be able to really shine rather it is in the arena, breeding barn or show pen! Bermuda is now with the original family that we bought Charjody from. We purchased her from dad/grandpa Vance and Bermuda is now with granddaughter Kenleigh and her dad Kent. We are very grateful to the Graham Family and excited for his performance future!
