Born 5-1-17. Two Tylet Honey Bee aka Honey or Honey Bee is a 92% NFQHA (F0039293) sweet buckskin roan filly with a star and white on all four feet. Matching ankles on the rear and matching coronet pastern circles on the front. We are just beyond pleased with her and plan to add her to our program. We purchased her mama, Two Tylet Jackie aka Tylie in foal to HQ Rojo B Bartender from Hockenson Quarter Horses in Iowa.
Tylie is a wonderful buckskin mare. In the past we have had some nice older Two Eyed Jack/Pitzer bred mares that have niched really well with our Paddys Irish Whiskey stallions. With those mares aging we spent the fall of 2016 researching and searching for replacement females that we felt would really step in and complement our program and you cannot find one more Pitzer bred than this one also wearing the Pitzer brand. Hockenson’s had purchased her as a weanling from the Pitzer Sale. Most of Tylie’s pedigree speaks for itself with all the greats. She is a 5 panel NN daughter of Two Eyed Red Buck. Her bottom side is very maternal. The Joe Jack Honey Bar mares are excellent mothers and that mare line has been a cornerstone for the Pitzer broodmares. We love that her bottom doubles up the Harlans Tyree and there is a double shot of Leo in there. Stay tuned to see who we match Tylie up with in our program.
We also purchased a 2015 filly, HQ Ima Fanchy Bee, from Hockensons, also by HQ Rojo B Bartender and also a maternal granddaughter of Two Eyed Red Buck. Fanchy’s mama and Honey’s mama are better than half sisters. So we are excited to now have two fine fillies with very similar bloodlines. They are also the only two we currently have to introduce Jackie Bee into our program and hence them both have Bee at the ends of their names. You can find more about Rojo on the Hockenson website and see his poster here.
Two Tylet Honey Bee is 5 panel NN by parentage and started out as a keeper for our program. Honey Bee was successfully started under saddle spring of 2019. She has entered our broodmare band exposed to Whoop Up Whiskey for a 2021 foal that she foaled late and then lost at 4 days of age. We placed her back with Whoop and she was ultrasounded in foal as of 11-2-21 but with just a 55-60 day fetus which would be due the beginning of September. Whoop is homozygous for black legs and she is a buckskin roan so color choices are bay, bay roan, buckskin, or buckskin roan. That foal would be priced at between $3000-$4000 in our program.
We suspect that she may not be great reporductively and would like to move her on to somebody who wants to take the time with her or put her back to riding. She started very gentle and very well under saddle as mentioned above. She only had about 45 days riding but she is sound, gentle and would be a great riding horse as well. She is tall and well built and definitely could have a future as a performance horse.
