Born 6-25-10. ‘Jet’ is our last baby born for the year and is our tie-breaker. We now have 8 fillies and 9 stud colts. This will be a nice top notch horse with the much sought after cowhorse/speed combination pedigree. Jet is bay with a small star and both rear pasterns have just a corner of white on them in a unique way. His dam, Docs Dolly Expert, produces athletic babies with speed and style. She is an appendix mare with Doc Bar on her papers going back to Jet Deck top and bottom through Jet Smooth and Shujet. Her maternal grandsire was Deckabo (SI 102). Dolly’s mother is an awesome mare that has been a broodmare, working ranch mare, excellent teacher for our youngest son as a ranch, 4-H and family rodeo horse. Jet’s sire is JK Jay Reed, a 96% foundation bred stallion with Poco Pine, Continental King, Joe Reed II and Whiskey Bert all on his papers. Jet’s 2009 full sister, Docs Racer Reed JW, is currently in Tennessee where she's been shown in American Ranch Horse Association classes and has been successful started under saddle. We hear reports that she has placed first in several classes. We will be updating this information as it becomes available. His 2008 maternal brother, Peponita Docs Fly JW is really liked and has a lot of cow instinct. We really can't say enough about this mare's offspring. Jet is also bred to run and really could be your next barrel, pole bending or roping horse as well as solid ranch horse.
UPDATE 2-23-12. Jet is a nice thick, muscular colt with a lot of style and eye appeal. With his pedigree and history of his parents he will be a top gelding.
