Blondy is an 81% NFQHA (F0032128) light palomino mare. Take a really good look at this purple pedigree. Doc Bar, Tianna Leo by Leo, Bueno Chex, Macy Ell by Raid Bar, Peppy San, Majel Bar by Gay Bar King ALL still on her papers. This mare is bred to perform and so will her foals. She is bred to be and built like a cutting horse, including good feet and bone. She is broke to ride and was used winter and spring 2008 during calving here on the ranch showing a lot of ’cow’ and agility. She should have gone to cutting training. Blondy rides with a lot of energy and willingness---eagerly looking where to go. We’ve joked that her name should be Bunny because she’s just that peppy and happy to go. It was a hard decision of whether to keep riding her or breed her but decided that she’d already proved to us what she was made of and it’s time to make her a producer. She has not disappointed us.
Blondy's 2009 filly, Tia; 2010 smoky black filly, Bueno Macy Reed JW; and 2011 black stud colt, Obi Wan Kenobi Reed are all by JK Jay Reed. JK Jay Reed is 96% Foundation and puts very nice dispositions on his foals. Blondy's foals with JK Jay Reed were 88.5% foundation eligible. We have retained Macy for our breeding program. Obi Wan stayed in ND on a ranch. Her 2012 black stud colt, Bueno Kotoa Evans JW by Kotoa Dee Evans, went to Texas as a stud and steer tripping prospect. Blondy's 2013 buckskin stud colt, Paddys Gin Bueno JW is by TRR Paddys Texas Gin. Blondy then produced 5 foals by our other Paddys Irish Whiskey son, Whoop Up Whiskey. 2014 beautiful buckskin filly, Whiskey Up Chloe JW who went to be with a ranch in MO; 2015 brown/dark bay filly, Whiskey Up Chinks JW stayed to ranch with us; 2016 buckskin stallion, Whiskey Up Rebel JW; 2017 brown filly, Whiskey Up Nala JW and 2018 bay stallion, Whiskey Up Brazil JW who is now back with the Graham Family with the son and granddaughter of the man we originally bought Blondy from.
Blondy’s 11th foal was with Top Gun Whiskey by Paddys Irish Whiskey in his first foal crop. Top Gun is both an AQHA and NRCHA World Qualifier in reining, team roping and reined cowhorse. He continued showing until February 2020. 2019 Top Gun Sultan JW is an impressive buckskin stallion that stayed here in ND on a neighboring ranch. Blondy was open for 2020 and is exposed to Jacks Our Bartender for a 2021 foal and was confirmed bred .
We are offering Blondy for sale as a broodmare checked in foal to Jacks Our Bartender for a 2021 foal. No matter which stallion Blondy is exposed to, she has fantastic foals! This 2021 foal will have color options/combinations of cream dilutions/roan. We are making room for our younger mares and feel it is time to let Blondy go. Jack’s foal sell for $3000 minimum.
