Born 4-25-13. WOW—what an awesome 2013 stud colt. Bueno is a great buckskin color with no white on his face and both white rear pasterns with distal spots. Depending upon how he develops he could certainly be stallion quality. He’s built just right with a super nice cowhorse pedigree and a sweet disposition. His dam, Blondy Bueno, is cutting bred with Doc Bar, Bueno Chex, Peppy San and Tianna Leo x Leo on her papers. She is very quickly becoming one of our top mares. Blondy is a palomino and produced a smoky black filly, Bueno Macy Reed JW, in 2010 by JK Jay Reed that is carrying the cream gene. Macy broke out great last fall and we’ve used her on the ranch this spring. She will be joining the broodmare bunch. 2011 Obi Wan Kenobi Reed went to a roper here in ND. 2012 Bueno Kotoa Evans JW is now in Texas as a stallion and steer tripping prospect. We are anxious to follow him and maybe even get a daughter back from him in the future. This is Blondy’s first foal by TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. This is Tex’s fifth foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. Bueno is filling out and is going to be a very athletic horse and is a top prospect. HERDA N/N
UPDATE 12-12-13. Bueno continues to be a top prospect. He is now with his new others near Helena, Montana. We wish Tami and Quin all the best of luck with him.
