Thanks Unruh Family!

Born 5-12-20 “Galveston” is a palomino stallion with a blaze and front left half stocking. We have chosen two themes this year to name our foals, one is using names of Texas cities or towns and the other to continue with western names for only our Whoop foals.

His dam, Bullets Top Lady, aka Kevin” is a sorrel mare we purchased from our friend and daughter’s college professor, Kevin Sedivec. That is why we call her Kevin. She is a daughter of Rawhides Slvr Bullet, AQHA all-time open reining point earner, 351 Open performance points, 27.5 halter points, 18 AQHA Open all-around COM’s and the NRHA Morrison trophy winner. His combined offspring have earnings of over $80,000 in roping, reining, team penning, sorting, ranch, and barrels. Kevin has Topsail Cody on her bottom papers along with Leo and Orphan Drift once off her papers. Cow Lady Drift was known as Orphan Drift’s greatest daughter. She was the earner of 44 AQHA points, was 6th at the AQHA World Show in Senior Reining, and 5th at the AQHA World Show in Senior Working Cow Horse.  However, her production as a broodmare was the most impressive.  Cow Lady Drift produced fourteen foals.  Nine of them were AQHA point earners and four were AQHA Open Champions.  Her offspring had a total of 533.5 AQHA points and that is a very notable record. Go a little further back and she has Poco Bueno, Doc Bar and Driftwood Ike. All outstanding horses that contribute to her strong foundation bottom side. Her first foal was 2019, Paddys Oak Arrow JW, that we have retained for ourselves as a broodmare prospect. We are very happy with how she is maturing so far.

Arrow’s sire is Walter O Rielly aka Radar.  He has become a great addition to our program, and this is his 9th foal crop for us. We were looking for a foundation Driftwood bred stallion to hopefully get some replacement fillies out of some of our better mares. Radar is a 90.234% foundation bred perlino stallion who goes to King P-234 ten times, to Driftwood four times with strong doses of Joe Reed, Three Bars and a little Doc Bar. Radar is a 16 hand horse with a huge stride and a gentle personality. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level.

Galveston is a very nice cross of reining lines and foundation. This is an exciting experiment for us and so far we are pleased with what we see. All of Radar’s foals have wonderful dispositions and are BIG horses that can cover some ground out in the open. His dam’s pedigree tells us he should hopefully be a smooth ride with some nice moves in the arena too no matter what discipline you point him towards.

2020 PRICING INCLUDES: Halter/lead rope, negative coggins, health, brand inspection, initial and booster vaccinations of EWT-Flu-Rhino, 1 bag of his current feed, AQHA transfer fee paid and halter training. This is a $250+ value included IN the price. Repeat and multiple horse buyers will be less.  If you are not already an AQHA member, you may get your own membership, or we will assess you an additional $55 one year membership fee in order to do the transfer for your new purchase.
