Born 5-9-15. WOW—what an adorable, graceful 2015 filly.' Mesa' is a bay filly with a star, strip, snip that resembles a balloon on a string. She has a right rear and right front pasterns with distal spots along with a left rear white pastern. Her dam, Sapa Mia Reed JW, is a mare we raised out of Little Sapa and JK Jay Reed. Take a good look at the speed pedigree on Mia’s bottom side. According to Circle Dot Horses, Mia Cash Too was a gentle, AAA Stakes Placed Winner with a nice disposition who ran the 3rd fastest qualifying time in the All-American Derby and sired foals that went on the be race horses, barrel horses and arena even horses and had plenty of cow. Little Sapa leaves Dash For Cash on Mia’s papers and also gives her Leroy Brown, Three Bars and Jet Deck through both Easy Jet and Jet Smooth. Mia’s sire is a 96% foundation bred stallion with Poco Pine, Continental King by King P-234, Joe Reed II and Whiskey Bert all on his papers. This is quite the epitome of our program to put a Paddys Irish Whiskey stallion back on a JK Jay Reed daughter.

This is Mia’s first ever foal. Mesa’s sire is Whoop Up Whiskey. ‘Whoop’ is a 2010 son of Paddys Irish Whiskey and out of a great John Scott mare, My Little Sugar Babe. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile.  A key difference between Whoop Up Whiskey and our other PIW son, TRR Paddys Texas Gin, is the dam pedigree. While both dams go back to Doc O Lena, Whoop’s goes to Doc O Dynamite who also stood at the John Scott Ranch. Doc O Dynamite was an Equi-State leading cutting sire from 1999-2005 who produced money earners and according to his performance record, his daughters have produced many money earning foals in AQHA, NCHA, NRHA and NRCHA. Doc O Dynamite has a pedigree that traces back to Three Bars giving a bit more stretch and speed to his offspring and shows up on the pedigree of many arena and speed event horses. Whoop Up Whiskey aka Whoop brings that little more height and length and speed to our program as compared to TRR Paddys Texas Gin. He has excellent bone, athleticism and conformation. His lineage tells us that his offspring will have cow and will be capable of performing at any level.

We fully expect this to be another top filly if she develops to her genetic potential. Mia and Whoop are disposition plus horses. Mesa will have all the right moves to go any direction in the cowhorse world, barrel prospect or just an all-around good ranch horse. We are seeing a lot of style and grace in these Whoop babies and Mesa is no exception  She is STYLE PLUS!!  Don’t miss out on this awesome pairing just because she is not a he!
