LEAVING FOR UTAH
Thanks Devan & Suzy

Born 4-28-13. We are having a little fun by using a Dance theme for names this year. This is the second pairing between Charjody and TRR Paddys Texas Gin aka Tex and, once again, we are not disappointed. Jig is a sorrel stud colt with no white on his face. At this point we are uncertain about white on his legs. He has white hooves on all four. His sorrel color gets so light as it goes down his leg that it is hard to tell how much white and where it starts. Jig is a good sized stud colt and friendly in the pasture. Like his 2012 full sister, Paddys Gin Tookie JW, he is appearing to be the perfect blend of her dam and sire. His dam, Charjody, is a gorgeous 84% NFQHA double bred Two Eyed Jack mare with him still on her papers. She also goes back to Babe Cody by Bill Cody. A repeat buyer from North Carolina has the 2012 filly, 2010 colt, Charmander Reed JW, and 2011 colt, Charizard Reed JW. We have retained Charjody’s 2008 daughter, Peponita Stareyed JW aka Bubbles for our program. Bubbles is currently being used on the ranch. She has the makings of a very level headed mare that is quickly becoming one of those family ranch horses that ‘anybody’ can get along with. This is Tex’s fifth foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. Ropers should take a strong look at Jig. HERDA N/N

UPDATE 11-20-13.  Jig is just an awesome powerhouse of a colt and we believe that he ended up to be the best bargain on the ranch this season and underpriced.  Huge gain for his buyers.  Jig was purchased by our employees and they are sending him back home to Utah to grow up and eventually make his way in the world roping and ranching.  We wish Devan and Suzy good luck with him and we look forward to hearing how he does in his future.
