Born 6-16-12. Beautiful bay roan granddaughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. Star and white on both rear pasterns. ‘Sierra’ is the third full sibling in the pairing of TRR Paddys Texas Gin and Fancy Roan Belle. 2010 Paddys Gin Shasta JW is now in Oklahoma and 2011 Paddys Gin Mara JW is still for sale here at the ranch. ‘Sierra’ is her dam’s 11th foal. Fancy Roan Belle is an awesome 87% NFQHA proven mare with one stallion standing at stud; we are riding her 2004 bay roan daughter, Docs Fancy Roan, have retained her 2008 dark chestnut roan daughter, Peponita Roan Bar JW and 2011 granddaughter, Paddys Gin Fanta JW for our program. Let’s look at the mare’s pedigree deep in Reeves breeding from South Dakota--Fancy Roan Bar, Roan Bar, Bell Boy Bar, Tom Baker, Bar Nothing Springer and Bartender. You cannot ask for a better foundation, ranch, cow or arena bloodline. The mare puts a very nice disposition on her foals. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. Sierra is a bit later foal and will be on the mare until at least mid October. If she is anything like her siblings, she will make one heck of an excellent cowhorse athlete.

UPDATE 10-10-12. Sierra has just been the most fun little filly to halter break. She is very sweet. She is quick on her feet and will be an excellent performance prospect. She can drop her head and spin on a dime. She is headed to Tennessee after weaning to join several of our other horses. We are certainly going to miss having this one around. Her dam is expecting another full sibling in 2013 and her 2011 full sister is still for sale here on the ranch (see link above).
