Born 4-29-12. WOW—what an awesome 2012 stud colt. We have named him ‘Kotoa’ after his sire, Kotoa Dee Evans (deceased). This makes two years in a row for solid black stud colts from Blondy. Last year we bred a few mares to a black stallion, Kotoa Dee Evans, who still had Leo on his papers and we were hoping to increase the Leo lines in some replacement fillies. This is not a filly, but is a very top notch colt. Depending upon how he develops he could certainly be stallion quality. He’s built just right with a super nice cowhorse pedigree and a sweet disposition. His dam, Blondy Bueno, is cutting bred with Doc Bar, Bueno Chex, Peppy San and Tianna Leo x Leo on her papers. This colt is 86% foundation eligible with the NFQHA. Blondy is a palomino and produced a smoky black filly, Bueno Macy Reed JW, in 2010 that is carrying the cream gene. We tested Kotoa also and he does NOT carry the cream gene. He is Ee, aa and NN for cream. His dam and sire indicate that he will be an athlete with a kind disposition. We are VERY impressed with this colt and expect him to mature at about 14-3.
$2000 (US)
UPDATE 4-27-13. Kotoa is now in Texas where he will mature as a stallion prospect and a steer tripping arena prospect. We look forward to hearing how he does and maybe even having the opportunity to purchase a foal of his back someday. Thank you Jaime and we hope you have great luck with him.
