Rose, sometimes called Speckles due to her speckled stockings, is a very kind, quiet mare and passes that on to her foals.  Her paternal grandsire was Docs Flying Bar and he stood at Texas A&M University.  Through him, she still has Doc Bar on her papers and Jet Smooth and Mr San Peppy just off her papers.  Her bottomside may not have great names close up, but she is still a very well bred mare.  Her bottom goes back to Skipper W, Three Bars, Gold Mount, Ed Echols, Flying Bob, and even Man O'War to name a few.  Big Sonsation was a great-grandson of King.  Rose's 2009 bay colt, Roses King Reed JW, is now in California and she foaled a sorrel stud colt, Joe, on 6-15-10.  Both colts are by  JK Jay Reed, and she will be pasture exposed back to him for 2011.  Rose is in the NFQHA database at only 70% foundation, but her foals by JK Jay Reed (96% Foundation) are and will be 83% foundation eligible.
